The Crook Wedding

On a beautifully sunny winter’s morning Jukebox headed for the rural countryside paradise that is Clandon Park in Surrey, to play a Wedding Day Experience for Sam Crook and Andrea Taylor.

As soon as we arrived it was all-hands-on-deck to simultaneously setup equipment in three different areas of this classic, breath taking period house. I was setting up in the ceremonial room, while Emma and Carl were setting up in the Master Hall for the drinks’ reception. Meanwhile the strong backed Ben and Ollie were down in the dining room, setting up light trussing for the evening show.

Before long, Carl and myself were suited and booted and ready to play the ceremony. The bride looked stunning as she walked down the aisle to Carl and I performing an acoustic piano and guitar rendition of 'All of me’ by John Legend. It was a moving ceremony, with an excellent song choice. During the signing the couple had asked us to play 'You and Me' by Lifehouse and also 'Time of my life' by Green Day. The two worked together very well, and were the perfect finale to beautiful ceremony.

As the newly Mr and Mrs Crook and their guests left the ceremony we played the upbeat "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder, to set the tone for the rest of the evening’s festivities.

It was now over to Emma and Carl, who performed an acoustic vocal and guitar duo for the drinks’ reception. After the meal we wasted no time in moving everything into place for the evening’s entertainment. The couple’s first dance was ‘Your Guardian Angel’ by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, the bride’s brother Sam joined us to sing this moving and original song choice.

Our normal set of modern floor fillers was perforated in the break with some Israeli song choices. The music was very popular as the guests joined together to toss the bride and groom around on chairs, luckily the evening remained injury free! After another two awesome sets and an encore it was time to go home.

On behalf of all of us here at JukeBox, I would like to wish the bride and groom a long and happy future together. In life we are all loose particles floating around until something makes you stick, that something is love, and these two have it pouring out of their very being into the surrounding ether, stay sticky.
